“It was very educational and a lot of fun at the same time. I’ll be going to college in the Fall and this course will be great on my resume. This was a great life skills course. I will be able to take with me in the future."

About Blanchard Student Leadership

Our Definition of Leadership

The capacity to influence others by unleashing their power and potential to impact
the greater good.

Leadership for Middle, High School or College Students

Now more than ever, it’s essential for young people to step into their potential as future leaders or good individual contributors. Blanchard Student Leadership teaches middle, high school, and college students how to better themselves, develop good relationships with peers and adults, and succeed so they lead happy and fulfilling lives, while making a greater impact for the common good.

Our Profile

Blanchard’s commitment to leadership extends beyond the corporate world. We help link education with business and we create empowered students. A variety of learning styles are used to ensure that all students learn - no exceptions. We use music, teambuilding, drawing, juggling, and skits to engage all grade levels: middle, high school and college. We use research-based proprietary content that teaches young people to take the initiative for their own growth and development, instead of waiting for someone else to do it for them. These skills help to promote a better relationship with teachers, parents, and employers.

Blanchard Invests in Young People

Why We Started Leadership Training for Students?

After working and training hundreds of managers and employees from all types of businesses and organizations for over 30 years, it became apparent that young people also needed leadership skills before they entered the workforce. Walking in with skills like effective communication, goal setting, utilizing strengths, and problem solving abilities give students an “edge up” in the job market. Managers report that their number one complaint is that employees don’t know how to solve everyday problems. Employees report that they don’t ask enough specific questions early on, because they don’t want their manager thinking less of them. So, they wait until something becomes a problem, and then finally ask for help. The problem escalates and no one is happy. The college leadership program teaches these upcoming workers to analyze their level of development and ask for what they need.

We created the middle and high school leadership program to help students be more successful in school and at home. Students learn effective communication skills so that they understand how to ask for what they need in terms of direction or support when beginning a new goal or task. Students become more responsible for their own growth and development instead of waiting for someone else to do things for them.
