Management Team Ken & Margie Blanchard Cofounders In addition to being a renowned speaker, consultant, and bestselling author, Ken Blanchard currently serves as the Chief Spiritual Officer of Blanchard. Marjorie focuses her energy on future industry trends and bringing Blanchard content to schools through the Blanchard Institute. She served as president of the company from 1987–1997, and was instrumental in leading its rapid growth and success. Ken received a master's degree from Colgate University, and a bachelor's and Ph.D. from Cornell University. Margie Blanchard received her bachelor's and master's degrees from Cornell University and her Ph.D. from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Tom McKee Chief Executive Officer Tom McKee is the CEO, Family Business Manager, and co-owner of The Ken Blanchard Companies. Since starting with the company in 1987, he has also held the positions of General Manager, Vice President, Chief Operating Officer, and Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining The Ken Blanchard Companies, Tom worked in the restaurant and food industry for 12 years. He was in management with The Rusty Pelican Corporation, and was an account executive with Lady Baltimore Foods in Kansas City. Tom helped found the Master of Science in Executive Leadership (MSEL) program with the University of San Diego. Tom’s other Board Member participation has been with The Better Business Bureau, The Private Industry Council and Workforce Partnership, and The Instructional Systems Association (ISA). Tom earned his bachelor's degree in environmental conservation from the University of Colorado in Boulder, Colorado. Howard Farfel President Howard Farfel, President of The Ken Blanchard Companies, has nearly 20 years of sales, marketing, business strategy, and general management experience. Prior to his current role, Howard served as Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing, and started with Blanchard as COO of Coaching.com. Before joining Blanchard, he spent six years at The Upper Deck Company, the world's largest sports and entertainment collectibles company. Howard also worked in the brand management function at Clorox and, prior to that, he was with Bain & Company, one of the world's leading strategy consulting firms, where he helped develop and implement strategic initiatives for Fortune 500 companies. Howard received an undergraduate degree from Duke University and an MBA from Stanford University. Scott Blanchard Principal and Executive Vice President Scott Blanchard is a Principal and Executive Vice President of The Ken Blanchard Companies. He is also co-founder of Blanchard’s Coaching Services, which has coached more than 10,000 clients worldwide. Since joining Blanchard, Scott has played a number of different roles, including trainer and organizational consultant. As a Senior Consulting Partner, Scott led major training interventions at numerous Fortune 500 companies. Scott is the author of several books, including Leverage Your Best, Ditch the Rest coauthored with Madeleine Homan, Leading at a Higher Level, and is the coauthor of Blanchard Coaching Essentials training program. Scott was educated at Cornell University and received his Master’s Degree in Organizational Development from American University in Washington DC. Shirley Bullard Chief Administrative Officer Shirley Bullard has been Vice President of Human Resources and Chief Personnel Officer for Blanchard since joining the company in February 1998. In February 2008, Shirley was promoted to Chief Administrative Officer where she has taken on additional roles on the Blanchard Leadership Team, overseeing Client Delivery Management and Operations departments, partnering on Talent Management, as well as various corporate projects. Prior to joining Blanchard, Shirley worked for the Poway Unified School District as both the Director of Personnel Support Services and Director of the Personnel Commission during her 10 years there. Prior to her time in Poway, Shirley’s industry experience included more than 15 years with the U.S. Navy as a civilian employee. Shirley attended Thomas Jefferson School of Law (formerly Western State University College of Law) in San Diego, receiving her juris doctorate and bachelor of science in law degrees in 1985. Debbie Blanchard Executive Vice President of Marketing Debbie Blanchard is the Executive Vice President of Marketing for The Ken Blanchard Companies, where she leads the global marketing effort for the organization and its worldwide affiliates. Debbie joined Blanchard in 1990 and has served in marketing, sales, and relationship management roles throughout her career. Debbie’s experience outside of Blanchard has included being the Executive Director of Conference Planning for Success Magazine. She also taught executive level English for Berlitz International while living in Concepcion, Chile. Debbie received a master’s degree in executive leadership from the University of San Diego and a master’s degree in organization development from American University in Washington, DC. She earned her undergraduate degree in communications from the University of Colorado, Boulder. Jay Campbell Senior Vice President of Products & Content Jay Campbell is Senior Vice President of Products and Content for The Ken Blanchard Companies, responsible for the development and management of the company’s product offerings. Prior to joining Blanchard, Jay served as Head of Product Innovation for Experian Consumer Direct, the top provider of consumer credit reports. Before Experian, Jay was Vice President of Product Management at Kelley Blue Book. Jay also served as Vice President of Product Development for Monitor Group, driving the design and development of the company’s technology-enabled products and services. Jay has engineering and economics degrees from Vanderbilt University and an MBA from Boston College. Joni Wickline Vice President of International Growth Joni Wickline, Vice President of International Growth for The Ken Blanchard Companies, has more than 25 years of sales, business operations, and general management experience. She leads the company's international strategy that supports a global infrastructure for delivery to the company's multi-national clients. Joni has worked for The Ken Blanchard Companies for over 22 years. She was a top performer in the sales organization for many years, before she launched the Coaching Services division in 2000. She lead that team as the Director of Coaching Serivces for five years. Prior to her current role, Joni was Vice President of the Professional Services group. Joni earned her bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Colorado at Boulder. She holds a masters degree in organizational management from the University of Phoenix and a Master of Science in Executive Leadership from University of San Diego’s School of Business Administration. Mark Manning Senior Vice President of Sales, North America Mark Manning is the Senior Vice President, North America for The Ken Blanchard Companies. He focuses his energy and time on leading the business development function and works with cross-functional teams to architect effective structures, systems and process that drive growth, client impact and organizational vitality. He also works with regional leaders to co-create and support the effective execution of Blanchard’s various go-to-market strategies around the globe. Mark joined Blanchard in 1993 and has served in various sales and operations roles, including Vice President of Learning Materials business unit, Vice President of Western Sales Region and Sales Platform leader. Mark received a Master of Science in Executive Leadership from University of San Diego’s School of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Aviation Technology and Business from Florida Tech. Cathy Huett Vice President of Professional Services Cathy Huett, Vice President of Professional Services for The Ken Blanchard Companies, has over 30 years of experience in leader development. Cathy supports and oversees a global associate group responsible for service delivery, including facilitation, consulting, coaching, public workshops and training-for trainers programs. Cathy’s career at Blanchard began in 1984 and has included leadership roles in human resources, sales, and operations. She was also a successful facilitator, author and keynote speaker before assuming her current role. In 2008, Cathy was deployed to the United Kingdom to serve as Operations Manager in the Blanchard office, and that experience created the foundation for the global outlook she maintains as she supports delivery resources worldwide. Cathy studied at Arizona State University and San Diego College of Business, focusing on psychology, sociology, and business, followed by courses in human resources at The University of California, San Diego. Randy Conley Vice President of Client Services Randy Conley is the Vice President of Client Services and Trust Practice Leader for The Ken Blanchard Companies. He oversees Blanchard's client delivery operations and works with clients around the globe helping them design & deliver training and consulting solutions that build trust in the workplace. Since joining Blanchard in 1996, Randy has partnered with some of the company’s largest clients in delivering transformative leadership and organizational development solutions. Trust Across America named him a Top 100 Thought Leader in trustworthy business behavior and he is a founding member of the Alliance of Trustworthy Business Experts. Inc.com named Randy a Top 100 Leadership Speaker & Thinker and American Management Association included him in their Leaders to Watch in 2015 list.
